Extreme Acai Berry Program is a scam
|
This is how Extreme Acai berry looks like. Although I won't recommend it, you can buy it on this site: http://www.extremeacaiberry.com/. |
There isn't much to say about this program, that I haven't said to the other scams. I has the same principle: they take your CC details when you sing up for a free trail, for shipment. After that you're smoked. Here is what they say in their disclaimer:
I understand that by ordering Extreme Acaiberry, I am agreeing to receive Extreme Acai berry for a free 14-day trial period (Please allow seven days for shipping and seven days to use the product). $3.95 (non-refundable) for S&P. I understand that unless I cancel by calling 1-877-350-8480 within this 14-day period, beginning on the 14th day my credit card will automatically be charged $92.58 (Free Shipping) for a 31 day supply of Extreme Acaiberry to be shipped at that time to my door. There will be no Sandy on the phone when you call to cancel. Still, I must admit, the design of these sites is pretty, pretty nice. A little idiotic, but smooth. Look what scammed people say about Extreme Acai Berry:
- I ordered a "free sample" of Acai Berry Diet from their website. I was billed $29.95 before the sample even arrived! I called the number given by the website, to cancel the autoship that the $29.95 was supposed to be initiating. After half a dozen phone calls in which I could not reach a live person, I finally did manage to speak with someone who agreed to refund my $29.95 and stop the autoship order. The $29.95 was returned, credited to my bank account, but two days later it was debited $89.31! I called the number given to me by the first person I spoke with, when I canceled my order, but all I got was a recording. I then called the original number, the same one on the Acai Berry supplements bottle, and was told I would receive a refund for the payment in 14 days. It has been 14 days, and I'm still waiting for my refund. Oh, as an added bonus, that $89 caused an overdraft in my account, for which I must now pay as well! Do NOT fall for this scam, it's just another pyramid scam, looking for chumps to take advantage of! There should be a law against this kind of crap.
- After receiving the Extreme Acai Berry tablets, I decided after reading many scam articles that I was not happy with the reviews. I returned the product unopened and within 14 days received another package. I was able to call and they said it would be credited to my credit card for the amount of $89.31. They also gave me a conformation #. But now I'm not able to get through. So I was billed 2 times for the product I sent back.
- I feel so stupid! I've been dieting and reading about the benefits of the Acai berry from Brazil. Oprah endorses the Acai berry, so how can it be bad?? Dishonest marketing and misleading sales of the product is how. Oprah, you should warn your audiences! If I have any trouble canceling this order, I'm filing my next complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency and filing a dispute with my visa credit card too.
