Acai Berry Supreme Program is a scam
|
This is how Acai berry Supreme looks like. You can buy it on this site: http://www.acaiberrysupreme.com/ (but I don't recommend it! Read bellow why) |
All Acai Berry scams follow the same pattern - this site makes no exception. When I say the word "scam", I mean it in a literal way. The producer offers free trials. The only thing you pay when you sign up for a free trial is the shipping fee. Using this reason, the producer grabs your credit card information. The main catch is that in the disclaimer of the producer's site, it clearly states:
The 15-day trial offer for Acai Berry Supreme includes enrollment in our auto delivery program, which is subject to the auto delivery program terms described below...Unless you cancel, the auto delivery program will begin shipping you a fresh one-month supply of the product about 30 days after you place your trial order and every 30 days thereafter...
Cancel what? Your order? Your credit card? Your bank account? The trick is the following: you can't cancel the order. They say that you can cencel your order on phone. When people phone this company, they receive one of the following "treatments":
- Busy/dead line
- Robot Answer + a 2/indefinite hour hold
- Verbal confirmation that it will be canceled (except it won't)
This ensures that the company get at least $100 from each customer, at least this is the affiliate payout, from what I heard.
I have listed bellow some of the complaints:
- I purchased a trial for 5.95. It states that they will charge 88.00 after 15 days. I bought it on September 26th and on Oct 6th they withdrew 88.00. They also sent me-without my asking a bottle of "Total Cleanse" and said if I did not send it back they will charge 78.00 to my account. So, it is not a "Free Trial" and they take the money faster than you can send anything back. I have sat on the phone for over 2 hours on hold at a time with their customer service number.
- I ordered the free trial of the Acai Berry Supreme and was given 15 days from shipment to cancel. Well, my order arrived on the 18th day and when I tried calling to cancel the number didn't work. So before they have the chance to charge my credit card the $88.62 I proceeded to cancel my credit card. Next time I'll verify the number before ordering anything online. Beware of this company
- I ordered this product because I was normally eating the pure acai in a smoothie form daily. I chose to go back to work full time and go back to school and found that I didn't have the time I used to in order to make my smoothies. I was looking for an alternative and found this. The trial sounded great. The problem was that when I read the agreement it stated that I was only to pay for shipping and handling. There was nothing that mentioned being charged after 15 days. However, if I chose that I liked it and wanted to continue, it mentioned that I would start to receive monthly shipments and be charged at the time it was being shipped. I received the product on 1/23/09 and was charged almost $80.00 on 1/30/09. Completely not expecting it, I was very upset and not able to reach the company by any means. Now I'm scared about my bank account and as to what else these people can do with my account information. Do not buy from this company. To top it off, I haven't noticed a difference with the pill form and chose to go back to pure acai in a smoothie form.
